In loving memory of our dear classmate

Linda Lou Cunningham Hames of Austin, formerly of Houston, went to live forever with her Lord Jesus on the 24th of July 2012.

She was born on the 9th of May 1947 in Houston to Charles L Cunningham Sr. and Ellewese J Cunningham. Linda worked as Executive Administrative Assistant to Mr. Bruce Laboon of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Bannockburn Baptist Church in Austin. She will be missed greatly by her family, friends, and co-workers, and will be remembered for her deep and inspirational faith in Jesus Christ, her devotion to her grandchildren, her quick wit, her boundless enthusiasm, and the inspirational love that she poured out to those around her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, the late Norma L Pitman and her husband Gene; sister, Jeannine Lewis; and brother, Richard T Cunningham. She is survived by husband, Larry Bailey Hames; daughter, Jennifer Adonica Kechemir; son, John Powell Beck and wife Kathryn; daughter, Laura Lee McKeand and husband Thomas; grandchildren, John Morris Beck, Paul Addison Beck, Claire Elizabeth McKeand, and Megan Jane McKeand; brother, Charles Cunningham Jr. and wife Vicki; brother, Donald J Cunningham and wife Norma; sister, Barbara J West and husband Bill; sister, Caroline J Martin and husband Gene; brother, Edgar (Butch) Cunningham and wife Paula; sister, Beverly A Nowlin and husband Jerry; sister, Shirley J Cunningham; and brother-in-law, Jack Lewis.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening on Friday, the 27th of July, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

The funeral service is to be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 28th of July, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, where Rev. Bill Campbell, a long-time family friend and pastor of Cypress Creek Baptist Church, is to officiate.

The interment will follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
