Married and divorced twice. Decided single is best for me! Love Washington State, especially Seattle area, but will always be a Texan at heart. Great job--good thing since investments have tanked and will probably have to work until I drop. Have become obnoxious grandmother but most of my friends are the same way.
I get back to Texas yearly (dad 97 living in Wimberley) so am always up for get togethers. And anyone who actually makes it up here in the far Northwest is more than welcome to visit me.
Interesting, in that I have trouble remembering yesterday but high school memories are strong. Getting old, I suppose! I remember the Guard and going to football and basketball games; Mary Senske with Bullwinkle; our senior trip to DC and NY; Kennedy's assassination; my carpool with Carol Thamer, Suzie May, Lynn Stephenson and Judy Oberg; the Chuck Wagon; lifetime friends; other faces and names that come to mind now and then, and I wonder what happened to them. (Now I can find out.) My peer pressure was not drugs but to make good grades. I remember how the girls couldn't wear pants and how we had a closed campus. If you showed up late, you'd better have a note or you'd be in trouble. But at least we didn't have to walk miles in the snow! What I have trouble remembering is the innocence--how our lives were in front of us and all the choices we had. No, I wouldn't want to go back but sure wish I'd known a few things then. Isn't that what everyone says as they get older? Guess I'm fortunate in that my memories are good (perhaps selective, but good). We were a good group--1965 rocks!
Talley's Latest Interactions
I was heartbroken to learn of Kay's death. We had so much fun together in high school, and she was one of the sweetest people I knew. We lost touch over the years but reconnected at our 50th reunion. We communicated a few times but hadn't been in touch recently. I guess it's too easy to think there will always be more time. Rest in peace, dear Kay. Sending love to Ben and family.
Hi Talley. Sorry I missed your b-day. My back is ailing so I've been in bed resting. The WOW group met Sat. for lunch and we all thought of you. Is it snowing there yet? Perfect weather here. Can't wait to get another shot in my back so I can golf in this beautiful weather. Say HI to David. Love--Carol
Happiest of birthdays to you Talley!!!

Jacquie, happy belated birthday! Sue (Aiken) St. John came for a visit on the 1st, and we've been busy everyday. Sorry I missed it but trust you had a special day. Let's talk soon.

So glad that you're coming to the reunion. I remember all those days at St. Matthew's so many years ago. Will be fun to reconnect. We were in Tahiti in 2014, too!
Suzanne, the reunion is August 28 and 29. Hope to see you there.
No fair, John. You've got to post a recent picture!!

The Imperial Guard event Fri. night was fabulous. We raised around $15,000 for scholarships. Not bad for a group of about 25 ol' Guard girls. Mrs. Gayle's full length mink coat sold for thousands. Holly Ware won my raffle basket-- a Bentwater package--a round of golf for 4 with assorted golf items.
He was thrilled. Barry Pollock was there, too, and lots of folks from "63--Debbie and Norman Adams' class. Mary and I represented '65 well. I'm worn out. We were there at noon on Fri. to help set up and didn't leave til midnight after the clean up. Getting ready to go to church. GO SEAHAWKS! Love --Carol
