          In loving memory of our dear classmate 


Nita Baxter, 70, of Olathe, KS, formerly of Houston, TX  passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 22, 2017.   She was born January 30, 1947 in Houston to Douglas and Frances (Franks) Slater.

Nita spent the majority of her career as an administrative assistant for Vanier Graphics in Houston.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her beloved cat, Lillian.

Survivors include her two sons, Doug Reed and wife, Carolyn of Parkville, MO and Jason Baxter and wife, Patricia of Houston, TX; three grandchildren; Natha and Gemma Baxter,  including Catherine “Cate” Reed. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Hardy Reed and second husband, William D. Baxter.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted with the Meyers Northland Chapel, Parkville, MO.  Nita’s final resting place will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Houston, TX.
