Peggy was a precious friend. We met at Hamilton (in the Heights) in the 7th grade. Imagine how surprised we were that our grandfathers had been friends! We attended Baptist Temple together, were roommates at Hardin-Simmons and we were in each other's weddings. We even gave each other baby showers when our sons were born. I'm thankful for so many sweet memories.
Peggy passed away January 30, 2017 at her home in Houston. Services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston on Saturday March 11, 2017 at 1 PM. I did not know Peggy in high school but became friends later on when our children were small. We enjoyed spending time together. We enjoyed shopping, eating and spending Sunday evenings watching our favorite TV shows. She loved decorating her home. She was preceded in death by her sweet son Aldon who she missed so much. May she sleep in peace.

I was fortunate to have known Peggy for several years when I worked at the South Texas College of Law Library. Peggy was an exceptionally kind and thoughtful person. She always took time to ask how I was doing, and she was sincerely interested in the answers. The world needs more Peggy Kimbros. My condolences to her family. May you be comforted by happy memories and the support of close friends.

Growing up with Peggy was always fun. From running the streets in her VW beetle, to Glorieta or Nashville trips with the youth and choir at BT. The BT leaders and teachers meant a lot to her. She loved to decorate her home with her favorite colors and was proud of her work both at home and on the job. She was a dedicated worker and made lasting friendships through her years at South Texas College of Law. Close friends enjoyed hosting dinner parties for no real reason at all. Friends just enjoying being together and visiting. Life was very hard after losing Alden. I loved her and will miss her.
Peggy will be missed...there were so many memories over the years of working together at South Texas. Part of Peggy is still here! It was always a joy to hear her speak of her son, Alden and her dear mother, and also of her niece, Lacy that she was so proud of. Rest in Peace dear Peggy.
Peggy was a longtime colleague, We had so much fun talking about how we were going to sell pencils on the street after retirement. She was kind and raised a wonderful son.

You are my husband's Mother. Without your life, I would never have met my Best Friend.Thank you! Thank you, for being Peggy! Thank you for making one of life's choices-to get married and have a child. Thank you for raising a child with a broken heart! I suspect your heart was broken too! You got him to 39 years...because you made a decision and took the chance. What a great life, your Alden climbed his mountains and Machu Picchu! And you climbed yours. God saw fit to take you home....you finally have all of your persistent questions answered. Rest in Peace.....and Thank you for being my "Mother" in law!
