So many memories of Steve from drama and other events.  His "rat pack" wardrobe and briefcase bar were famous.  And, of course, the famous ad lib which almost ended his M.C. duties, when after blowing into the microphone, he commented that one should never blow into a microphone as it could break the diaphram  and "we all know how dangerous that can be.......".  As usual, he delivered his ad lib with his devilish smile and perfect comedic timing!

Steve and I were competing in drama at the Bellaire  Sppech and Dramatic Tournament but I also was in the Guard. He drove like a maniac while I changed clothes in the back of the car into my Guard uniform. If I missed the football game I was dead.

So, I heard the bugles blow and calmly marched onto the field and drilled in someone else's place. The girls whispered what to do and all ended well.

I have never forgotten how much fun we had in drama. And oh I do miss that devil smile.

Steve and I seemed to always fall in love (lust) with the same women which made our relationship stormy to say the least since he naturally always got the girl.  In spite of this, I admired him and learned a great deal from him about style, theatre and life in general.  I tried to find him many times in the years before his passing but never did.  Last I heard he was selling high end antiques. I'll never forget the Sunday afternoon poker games at his parents home where he and Loti (his Mom) would usually end up the big winners.  He was one of a kind.
