Jean Phillips Frankie
October 12, 1946 - February 18, 2018

Jean Phillips Frankie passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, February 18, 2018 in Richmond, Texas. She was born on October 12, 1946 in Houston. An educator by trade, she never met a math problem she did not like. She taught math wherever her husband, Tony, coached. She retired as a Curriculum Specialist for Lamar Consolidated ISD.

Jean loved to travel with family and friends, and was always looking forward to her next adventure. Her big heart and smile along with her infectious laugh will be sorely missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband Tony Frankie; parents Leonard and Selma Phillips; brother John Phillips; and brother-in-law JR Wright.

She is survived by her son Richard; daughter Nicki, the love of her life; grandson Michael; sisters Paulette Wright of Nacogdoches, Judi Phillips of Corpus Christi; sisters-in-law Denise Phillips of College Station and Jenny Banker of Sugar Land; nieces Wendy Wright and Chelsea Wagner and nephews Bryan Banker, John Banker, and Ryan Phillips.

A visitation with the family will be from 5-7pm Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

A celebration of her life will take place at 10am Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel in Rosenberg, with interment to follow in Morton Cemetery, Richmond, TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CASA of Fort Bend at www.cafb.org/donate, the Frankie Pickett Scholarship Fund at Wharton County Junior College or to the Charity of one’s choice.
