Went to OU my freshman year, but had to transfer quickly lest my extracurricular activities might lead me to flunking out of school But graduated from TCU with honors. Grad school, Masters of Science in Foreign Service degree from Georgetown in Wash, DC.
After brief stint in Army, worked briefly for White House (not as impressive as it sounds, because I just helped computerize mailing lists and wrote a couple of position papers on the environment and on national security). Left to work for IBM, where I helped set up their lobbying ofice in DC. At time of retirement, was their senior lobbyist on international trade and national security and internet security issues. IBM was good to me -- led me to live abroad 4 times (Brussels, Paris, Hong Kong and Beijing) and traveled to over 80 countries on business/pleasure.
Retired in 2002 and moved back to my favorite city, Houston. Spend my time now on perfecting my golf game - lol - playing golf almost every day at Northgate Country Club in Spring. Also am finishing work on writing The Great American Novel and doing community work.
