Kay Watters (Greene)

I am looking forward to the photos of the 45th reunion...had some things going on at home and could not be there.  Sounds as though you all had a great reunion.

The pictures will be posted very soon. I just received from Tom Britton and Joyce Barta their copies of pictures. Thanks to both of you.

It has taken me the whole week to recoup from a night out 'til 3AM. But I am back on track or I had to be as today is a grandparents luncheon at my two smaller grandchildren's school. Since they are the light of my life, I am always ready to be with them.

Sorry for any delay but the pictures are coming soon.

Thanks, Robby those pics were great, personality shines thru on the faces of our 1965 fellow students!

Linda I can understand, hope you didn't think I wanted to rush you, just inquiring and will look forward to yours as well.  By the way, I did the GM thing here, and am looking forward to my 2nd great-grandbaby arriving sometime next week.  I've had wonderful grandboys and 1 great grandboy, but am really looking forward to finally having a great-granddaughter!!!!!

I laughed so much my eyes hurt from the reunion. I still am recovering  from the reunion. Remember I teach Kindergarten every day plus grades 1-6 and they don't cut me any slack.

It was wonderful to see and talk to so many friends from Waltrip. Sorry I won't be at the Big One in October but just too close together to return to Texas. Take pictures for me.

Going Saturday to the Blues Festival in Telluride, Colorado.  You may get a phone call with me singing....Stay by the phone.

Bouquets of roses to all the Planning Girls for the party.

I suggest we make a date to celebrate our birthday #65  with friends from '65.

Linda,

Wish you were starting your Austin Fudd's on another Tuesday other than 2nd....

Now we will never see you in Houston @ Fudd's.

Keep laughing,
Peggy

(P.S.- does any one know how to stop this print from skipping a line in context??)

Peggy--

Thanks for what you said--, but since ours is just starting, it is subject to change on the day. Besides I try to coordinate seeing my Mom on that date in Houston as well.

Good morning fellow Waltripians. I presume everyone has recovered from the celebration of our 45th anniversary. Linda, just curious, did you stay up until 3:00 this Saturday or should I correctly say Sunday? I think everyone is  correct that it was a great get together. Sweetie you have a great idea about convening the group to celebrate turning 65. Sort of a milestone. . .65ers turn 65! Another opportunity for a good time!

Keep on dancing,

Rich

Although I couldn't make the Reunion, I've been enjoying the comments and especially seeing the photos of all the beautiful people we have become.

Thanks.

TO ALL

Suzie & I posted some Friday night photos on the new Tab to the left entitled Reunion Photos-45. Check them out. If anyone has a photo that they want posted send it to Suzie or myself and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

We will get the Saturday night photos posted ASAP.

Don't forget the Austin area get-together October 12, 2010.

Wayne I think your idea for a get-together soon is great. As for someplace to dance, my vote is for Gruene Hall in New Braunfels.

I was thinking more of a 50's place, but Greune hall would be good to. Just to get together again would be great. I have been reading the notes everybody wrote in my yearbook, brought a few tears and lot of smiles.          LoL God Bless

The venue for the monthly get-together in the Austin area is subject to change.

Ingrid, where do you think you could make it to for the monthly get together? Las Vegas perhaps.....

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

I could make Las Vegas, it's only 4 hours by car.

Robby

Quit putting your Las Vegas blurps on and then deleting them. Once you put it on the Forum it's there for good.

Just joking, it's making me crazy.

Is anyone interested in checking out the ESPJST Lodge on Beall St. They have a good dance floor and live bands. They have big bands one time C&W another and the ever popular Oompah bands for you polka lovers. If anyone is interested I'll check into it. When I've been in the psat to the big band night a lot of the people come in costume. People watching is prime. Yea or Nay?

Dear Robby and Crazy Linda from Crazy BJ-

Our move to San Angelo is halfway done. Moving van

does final move on Nov. 3. The Austin Mtg sounds

wonderful to me. We are really looking forward to

being Texans again. I took my 2 nephews from here on

my Aug trip to SA for partial move # 1. They loved

Bar-B- Que and Texans attitudes. They loved the kindness

of people. Everyone was really good to them.  See everybody

soon.  Love ya all, BJ

You're right  we need more participants. You're just not my cup of tea as a dance partner. I'll call them and see about a schedule.

Good morning all. I just called the SPJST Lodge 88 on Beall St. We don't have to be a member to attend their dances and they hope we'll come over. They have dances three Saturdays a month

1st Sat. is big band - Moonglow is the band

2nd Sat. is polka & waltzes

3rd Sat. alternates - big band - polka & waltzes -C&W (sometimes) - the 3rd Sat. this month is Big Band, Leonard Duckworth Band

Polka and waltz night is $8.00 per person, Big Band is $11 person and they have a dress code, women-party attire, men is coat and tie

They have beer, bottle & draft for sale, wine-wine coolers, white zinfandel & merlot, soft drinks, set  ups & ice

We can bring in our own food, hard liquor & our own wine

they recommend a reservation for tables

Sounds like a good time would be had by all - who wants to sign up?

You can view old Waltrip yearbooks online at http://www.classmates.com/yearbooks including copying images. For Waltrip, 1967 is the oldest yearbook they have. You can also buy reprints of each yearbook: $40 B&W, $60 Color.
Nope, I do not have a financial stake in this - it's just for your possible interest.
Enjoy!
