Lillian Suzanne Vickers (Bilodeau)

Hi Linda,

I have fallen behind on reading our message board. I just wanted to tell you I've added my prayers to the many others that I've read on this post. I've been the escort for several cancer patients to MD. They are a wonderfully caring group of doctors and nurses and office personnel. But I'm praying that you won't need them. God is good. See you at the reunion. - Suzanne Vickers Bilodeau

So sorry that Hap & I won't make it for the big 50th. We have close friends getting married that weekend here in Colorado. The tours of Black and Waltrip sound like great fun. Wish we could be there. Thanks to everyone for all of your hard work organizing this event. Really hate to miss it. Can't wait for pictures to be posted!

Bonita, I will miss your. Who could ever forget you, silly girl. You were kind and sweet in school.
We were all just kids.
Good choice for you and the family.
Take care of yourself. Miss you.
Sweetie

To Suzie May and everyone with the thankless job of planning and executing reunions, hats off for a great Friday night event. Fran and I enjoyed seeing so many old friends, and the venue, especially the spacious outdoor patio on a breezy and mild August evening, was perfect. Thank you all for your hard work.

I would like to thank Suzie May and all the rest of the 50th Anniversary team for all the effort in putting these venue's together.

Unfortunately, due to a virus I am having trouble getting under control, sadly I will miss seeing many of you that I have not seen for 50 years.

God's richest blessing to everyone, and have a terrific evening.

Arletta Parnell (Glankler)

I hope everyone has a wonderful time.  I made it to Houston on the 21st.  But very sadly, we were called home to Memphis on the 27th.  My grandson-in-law who lives with us,  along with my granddaughter and their baby, received word his sister had been killed along with her baby daughter in a head on collision.  They needed to go to Indianapolis, so we needed to go home to take care of their baby.  I almost made a reunion.  Maybe I can get back soon and see you Dorothy and some that knew me and still live in the Houston area.  God bless all that will be traveling.  Please be safe.

Always,

Arletta

Thank you so much.  It is a very hard time. She was hit head on by another girl who was texting and veared into the oncoming lane of traffic.  She also lot her life.  They are in God's hands now, so that is a happy thought.

OMG what fun to see so many folks from Jr and Sr high but especially those I started eletary school with. Ditto on all the compliments to the committee for their hard work on keeping us together. Not all classes are as lucky. Loved the tours, too. I'm back in Galveston safe and sound. Y'all come.

Lana Johnson (Horne)

Arletta, I am so sorry for what your family is dealing with right now.  I am praying for peace and patience for all of you. We did miss you.  I was looking for you last night, but I am glad that you were able to get home to your family quickly.

The entire reunion experience was great.  Most of us have known each other for a very long time, and really we are just older versions of those kids we used to be.  If you didn't attend this reunion, we did miss you.  If you attended, thank you for taking the weekend to reconnect with old friends. I had such a great time! To Suzie May Cunningham, Linda Marmion Linder, Jacquie Campbell Biggs, and the rest of the Golden Gala Committee,  thank you for your dedication to getting our class together time after time.  I know that planning our event has been a part of your daily lives for at least a year! Thank you  and we do appreciate all that you do for our class.  I am already looking forward to 55th!   See you there!

Our reunion committe really rocks. We had great venues both days and visited til we dropped. Also, thanks to Joanna for the idea and effort that got us all to Frank Black and Waltrip and Doyles. Kudos and thank you to all involved. I say again that if you need help with the next one, I will volunteer right now. Thank you, Suzanne Vickers Bilodeau.

I hope the reunion went well!  I had paid for an airline ticket and for the gala and thought I would finally get to a reunion.  My lodging with family/friends was cancelled four days before I was supposed to leave and that left me with no place to stay.  Needless to say I was very upset and saddened to have to cancel the trip.  I hope there was a good turnout and that everyone had fun!  Thank you to the reunion committee for putting the whole thing together.  I know that is a tremendous amount of work and effort.  Hopefully there will be another reunion (maybe sooner than five years).

My husband, John, and I had a great time at the reunion on Friday night.  Only wish we could have made Saturday also.  It was great seeing everyone and catching up.  Thanks to everyone who worked so hard on the planning.  You are super stars!
